According to Google, Wave invites have started going out! It’ll take “many many many many” hours for all of the invites to go out, but they’re on the way.

If you never applied for an invite, or if you don’t end up getting one, you can use our message board to request one. If you’re one of the lucky ones that gets an invite (and you therefore have eight extra invites to give away), visit the forums and help some people out.

Don’t have mine yet….
someone should make a website that has a vote system so we can see how many people have or have not yet received an invite. that would be much more helpful than a list of comments saying yes or no.

If it takes Google “many many many many hours” to email the invites – why don’t they just use gMail?
Try sending 100,000 emails via gmail and let us know how that works out for you?
It’s probably due in part to the fact that they have to actually activate each account, then send the email to the user. Certainly not a big burden on their servers, but it adds up when you have so many to do.
No Google Wave invite yet. I would love to have one.

i have invitatation but i sent one to my brother and he did not recieve it yet. I can give invitations to peoples but the invitation wave say “Invite others to Google Wave
Google Wave is more fun when you have others to wave with, so please nominate people you would like to add. Keep in mind that this is a preview so it could be a bit rocky at times.
Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick.
